As a result of the rocket attack in Odessa eight people were killed, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said at a press conference in Kyiv. A three-month-old child was among the dead.
According to various sources, between 18 to 20 people were injured. The dismantling of the rubble of the affected houses continues.
Earlier, advisor to the Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko in his telegram-channel wrote about the death of a resident of Odessa in his car: she burned up after a missile hit.
According to the «South» operational command, Russia bombed Odessa from the Caspian Sea using Tu-95. The command reported that two rockets were destroyed by the Ukrainian air defense forces, two more rockets hit a residential house and a military facility (the exact object in question is not specified).
«The only reason of Russian missile strikes against Odessa is terror. Russia should be recognized as a state sponsor of terrorism, and its treatment should be appropriate,» wrote Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba about the attack.
