On April 4, in the evening, the Mayor of Mykolayiv Oleksander Senkevych reported that the Russian military shelled the city using prohibited cluster munitions.
The missile was launched from the occupied Kherson to Mykolayiv.
The Russian aggressors again used cluster fragmentation munitions. There are hundreds of such cassettes in each rocket, and each cassette is shattered into hundreds of pieces. There is no high degree of precision that the Rashists claim. The only purpose of this type of weapon is to kill and wound as many people as possible.
The occupants have chosen to target an ordinary dormitory area of the city with no military targets or critical infrastructure.
This is not the first time that the Russian military has used cluster munitions. The UN reported that as of 30 March, there were investigated 24 cases of Russian use of cluster munitions in Ukraine.
