According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the Russian army is legalizing looting.
The agency reports that the main task of the Russian military now is to gain a foothold in existing positions, hiding from the local population.
Units for an indefinite period remain cut off from the supply of everything necessary and were instructed to move to a mode of “self-preservation”, which involves the looting of grocery stores, warehouses, and pharmacies.
Looting by the Russian military is also accompanied by severe crimes such as murder, torture, and rape.
The Directorate of Intelligence has also noted that this is a deliberate policy of terror, which is encouraged by Russia’s top leadership.
